Dr. Richard Gardner<\/strong><\/a> authored the money making PAS theory that made him a very rich man. Gardner committed suicide on May 25, 2003, plunging a seven inch butcher knife into his neck and heart. Gardner testified mostly for men, charging $500 per hour, routinely recommending custody to abusers, deprogramming children and threat therapy for mothers. Dr. Richard Gardner, who died suddenly on May 25th, 2003, gave science to the anecdotes of alienation.<\/p>\n
As a result he has left with this world thousands of children who are more balanced and healthier than they would be without him. He has left with us thousands of children who know their father and therefore know the half of themselves that is their dad. Without Dr. Gardner, most of these children would not believe they have a dad worth knowing.Because he loved children, and not either fathers or mothers, Richard Gardner was pro-active in his encouragement of his work to be used by mothers whose children had been alienated from them by their fathers.<\/p>\n
The impact of Richard Gardner’s life will not just inhabit these children’s lives, but also the lives of their children, and their children’s children. Thank you Dr. Gardner. I am filled with tears at your loss.<\/p>\n

Kritiken mot f\u00f6retr\u00e4darna f\u00f6r PAS\/f\u00f6r\u00e4ldrap\u00e5verkan teorin \u00e4r massiv \u00e4ven i Sverige. Professor Christian Diesen har i Juridisk Tidskrift 3\/1997-98 uttalat att den allvarligaste bristen i Lena Hellblom Sj\u00f6grens metod (som bygger p\u00e5 Gardners teorier) inte \u00e4r den ensidigt destruktiva inriktningen att efters\u00f6ka andra f\u00f6rklaringar (\u00e4n att \u00f6vergreppen verkligen har \u00e4gt rum – BFs till\u00e4gg) utan att selektivt faktaurval kombineras med selektivt vetenskapligt urval och att till\u00e4mpningen sker p\u00e5 basis av generaliseringar.<\/h3>\n
Specialisten i Barn- och ungdomspsykiatri, \u00f6verl\u00e4karen Anders Brynge, \u00e4r en annan kritiker.
